The palate continues in a fruit-forward direction, with dried mango adding a richer, concentrated note alongside the rounded character associated with the wheat-led mash bill. The overall profile remains composed and approachable, balancing ripe fruit character with the depth gained through more than four years of maturation.

Distiller's Background:

Summer West Bourbon Co. was founded by Noah Purdom with the goal of presenting bourbon through a more contemporary and approachable lens. The brand grew from Purdom’s earlier Bravado Whiskey project and was subsequently developed under the Summer West identity, with a renewed visual direction centered on summer, Colorado, and a less traditional presentation of American whiskey. Rather than operating as the distiller, Summer West selects mature whiskey barrel by barrel, with its current bourbons sourced from a distillery in Owensboro, Kentucky. A defining part of the brand’s concept is its focus on whiskey entered into barrels during the warmer summer months, an idea that also inspired the Summer West name.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve at room temperature in a Glencairn or rocks glass to emphasize the bourbon’s fruit and grain character. Enjoy neat for the clearest expression, over a large cube for a softer profile, or in bourbon classics such as an Old Fashioned or Whiskey Sour. Pair with roasted nuts, aged cheddar, barbecue, glazed pork, or desserts featuring caramel and baked fruit.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2699/1632/files/Summer_West_Wheated_Straight_Bourbon_Whiskey_Colorado.png?v=1791338221
