Sensory Description:

This Chardonnay opens with fragrant aromas of jasmine blossom, honeysuckle, and ripe apricot, layered with white peach and a touch of lime zest. The 2021 vintage reflects a balanced growing season, delivering both freshness and ripeness in equal measure. The palate is vibrant and lifted, with crisp acidity providing structure while a subtle oak influence adds textural weight and roundness. Stone fruit and citrus notes carry through a supple mid-palate, finishing with length, energy, and a polished integration of freshness and depth that exemplifies cool-climate Chardonnay.

Winemaker’s Background:

Adelsheim Vineyard is one of the pioneering producers of the Willamette Valley, founded in the early 1970s with a vision to explore the potential of cool-climate viticulture in Oregon. Over decades, the estate has helped define the region’s reputation for producing balanced, terroir-driven wines with precision and elegance. Today, under the guidance of winemaker Gina Hennen, Adelsheim continues to refine its approach through sustainable farming and careful cellar practices. The estate emphasizes site expression and balance, sourcing primarily from its own vineyards while maintaining a consistent house style that highlights both vibrancy and texture.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve chilled at 48 to 52 degrees Fahrenheit in a white wine glass to highlight both aromatic lift and textural depth. Ideal with roasted chicken, seafood, creamy pasta dishes, and soft cheeses, where the wine’s balance of acidity and richness enhances a wide range of flavors. Also well suited to dishes featuring herbs, citrus, or light cream sauces.
