Sensory Description:

The 2019 Señorío de P. Peciña Crianza opens with evocative aromas of ripe red cherry, dried leaves, sweet spices, and the classic cigar-box signature of traditionally aged Rioja. On the palate, it is smooth and savory, with polished tannins carrying flavors of red fruit, toasted vanilla, gentle spice, and a touch of jammy warmth. Rustic elegance meets fresh lift, creating a wine that is generous, expressive, and deeply satisfying from the first sip to the last.

Winemaker's Background:

Bodegas Hermanos Peciña was founded in 1992 by Pedro Peciña Crespo and his three children, beginning as a small cosechero winery in San Vicente de la Sonsierra. By 1997, the family inaugurated their larger winery, marking the start of their focus on classically aged Rioja wines. With 50 hectares of estate vineyards and a deep commitment to traditional methods, including gravity-flow winemaking and meticulous barrel-to-barrel racking, Hermanos Peciña has become a benchmark for Rioja purity and authenticity. Their facilities now include over 4,500 American oak barrels, underground aging cellars, and dedicated spaces for preserving historic vintages.

Serving Suggestions:

This Crianza shines alongside roasted lamb, grilled or braised red meats, rich stews, aged cheeses, and hearty mushroom dishes. Its balance of fruit, spice, and supple tannins also makes it a beautiful companion for Spanish classics such as chuletillas, chorizo, or slow-braised oxtail. Serve at 17–18°C for optimal expression.

Señorío de P. Peciña Crianza 2019 is a tribute to Rioja’s most cherished traditions, offering authenticity, depth, and heartfelt craftsmanship in every glass, a wine made for those who appreciate patience, elegance, and the timeless art of aging.
