January 2026 Wine Club
A new year invites reflection, but it also calls for clarity. January is a moment to reset the palate, refine our focus, and choose wines that speak with purpose rather than noise. This month’s selections are united not by geography or style, but by intent: wines shaped by thoughtful decisions in the vineyard and cellar, crafted to offer balance, authenticity, and lasting pleasure.
Across every tier, the emphasis is on precision over excess, heritage paired with modern insight, and bottles that feel meaningful at the table rather than merely impressive. From indigenous grapes revived through contemporary technique to old vineyards expressing themselves with renewed energy, these wines reflect producers who understand when to act and when to step back.
Whether you are exploring the breadth of the Select Tier, securing rare and allocation-only bottles in the Premium Tier, or working one-on-one through our Private Sommelier program, January’s lineup is designed to meet the year with confidence and calm direction. These are wines chosen not just to be enjoyed now, but to set the tone for the months ahead: considered, grounded, and deeply satisfying.
As the year opens, we invite you to slow down, pour thoughtfully, and begin again with wines that feel deliberate, expressive, and quietly compelling.

January’s Select Tier explores wines shaped by intention rather than trend, bringing together producers who work with restraint, heritage, and a clear point of view. From indigenous grapes and old vineyards to modern techniques applied with care, this release highlights balance, texture, and authenticity across a truly international spectrum.
The journey begins in Mendoza with Bodega Renacer’s RePasso Malbec, a wine that layers richness and structure through an unconventional technique, delivering dark fruit depth with polished edges. From there, the collection moves east to Anatolia, where Vinkara’s Atelier Öküzgözü offers a compelling introduction to one of Turkey’s most important native grapes, vibrant with red fruit, fresh acidity, and quietly expressive complexity.
Southern Italy brings warmth and generosity through Claudio Quarta’s Sud del Sud, a layered Salento blend that balances ripe fruit, spice, and savory undertones with smooth, inviting structure. In contrast, Domaine de Marquiliani’s Le rosé de Pauline from Corsica provides a moment of calm precision, pale in color and delicately aromatic, emphasizing freshness, finesse, and effortless drinkability.
The lineup is anchored by Mendieta Osaba’s Vascomendi Viñedo Singular Blanco from Rioja Alavesa, a serious white drawn from old vines, offering tension, texture, and mineral clarity shaped by a cooler vintage. Completing the selection is Tolaini Al Passo Toscana IGT, a refined Tuscan red that blends international polish with Italian soul, delivering structure and elegance without excess weight.
Together, these wines reflect what the Select Tier does best: uncovering bottles that speak clearly of their origins while remaining versatile, engaging, and deeply satisfying at the table. This is a collection built for exploration, conversation, and continued discovery as the year begins.

The Premium Tier exists for moments like this. January’s release brings together wines of depth, pedigree, and limited availability, including bottles that are no longer accessible through retail channels. For members of the Wine Club’s Premium Tier, these wines are not just selections, but privileges.
At the core of the lineup is Mendieta Osaba’s Vascomendi Viñas Viejas, a powerful yet disciplined expression drawn from old vines in Rioja Alavesa. Structured, layered, and built for contemplation, it represents the height of what careful farming and conviction-driven winemaking can achieve. From the Loire Valley, Domaine Charles Joguet’s La Plante Martin Chinon offers a contrasting expression of Cabernet Franc, refined and expressive, balancing freshness, savory detail, and quiet longevity.
This release also includes two wines that have already sold out completely, now available only through the Premium Tier. Arianna Occhipinti’s SP68 Bianco, a benchmark Sicilian white celebrated for its purity and energy, has long been a favorite among collectors and sommeliers alike. Domaine Jean-Claude Marsanne’s Saint-Joseph Rouge, a soulful Northern Rhône Syrah with depth and restraint, is similarly unavailable outside the Wine Club, underscoring the value of early access and membership commitment.
Completing the collection is Clos Sainte Magdeleine Cassis Blanc, a luminous Mediterranean white shaped by sea air and limestone soils, offering salinity, texture, and precision in equal measure. Together, these wines speak to place, patience, and craft at the highest level.
The Premium Tier is not about abundance, but about access. It is where rare allocations, sold-out favorites, and serious bottles converge, rewarding members with wines that are increasingly difficult to find and deeply rewarding to open. This January selection captures that philosophy in full, offering a lineup defined by distinction, scarcity, and lasting impression.

These wines represent just a few highlights from a tier defined by thoughtful alignment rather than fixed allocation.
From the Loire Valley, Couly Dutheil’s Réserve “Rayon de Soleil” Saumur Blanc offers depth and quiet authority, a mature expression of Chenin Blanc chosen for clients seeking texture, longevity, and elegance at the table. In Piedmont, two benchmark Nebbiolo expressions anchor the lineup: Gaja’s Dagromis Barolo delivers structure and refinement from one of Italy’s most iconic producers, while Sottimano’s Cottà Barbaresco brings precision, aromatic lift, and vineyard-driven nuance prized by collectors and seasoned drinkers alike.
France’s Jura adds a layer of intellectual intrigue through Domaine du Pélican Arbois Trois Cépages, a wine selected for those drawn to complexity, tension, and wines that reward attention. Completing the range is Ehlers Estate Merlot from St. Helena, a polished yet expressive Napa Valley wine chosen for clients seeking balance, pedigree, and immediate pleasure without excess.
What defines the Private Sommelier Tier is not rarity alone, but relevance. Each bottle is selected to fit a client’s calendar, cuisine, and preferences, whether for cellaring, entertaining, or everyday excellence. These wines reflect the freedom of bespoke curation and the confidence that comes from having a dedicated sommelier shaping every detail behind the scenes.
