Winemaker's

Established in 1948 by Otello Bettarini, Fattoria di Piazzano remains a family-run estate dedicated to honest, terroir-driven winemaking. Located south of Empoli, its rolling vineyards sit on land steeped in history, once home to a Roman centurion’s farm known as Fundus Plautianus. Today, the Bettarini family continues this deep agricultural lineage, practicing organic viticulture and minimal-intervention methods. Fermenting with native yeasts and aging exclusively in concrete, they craft wines that highlight purity, freshness, and the natural charm of Chianti’s hillsides.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve between 60–65°F (16–18°C) in a medium red wine glass. Decant for 20–30 minutes to awaken its aromatic range. Excellent with roasted poultry, pasta with tomato-based sauces, grilled lamb, or aged Pecorino. Its bright acidity and supple texture also make it a versatile companion for weeknight meals or casual gatherings.

Refined yet unpretentious, Fattoria di Piazzano Chianti DOCG 2024 captures the timeless appeal of Tuscan winemaking, a harmonious blend of fruit, freshness, and family heritage that has defined the region for generations.
