The 2022 Mullineux Old Vines White is built on the backbone of Chenin Blanc, woven together with Mediterranean varieties that bring fragrance, salinity, and vibrancy, resulting in a wine of texture, depth, and unmistakable character.

Sensory Description:

Opening with inviting aromas of stone fruit, lightly poached pear, and hints of floral spice, this wine unfolds in layers across the palate. Juicy nectarine and yellow grapefruit are lifted by vibrant acidity, while subtle undertones of ginger and galangal lend complexity to the finish. The Chenin Blanc provides backbone and texture, Clairette Blanche and Grenache Blanc add salinity and freshness, while Viognier, Semillon Gris, and Verdelho contribute aromatic opulence. The result is a wine that is both concentrated and elegant, with age-worthy structure.

Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines was founded in 2007 by Chris and Andrea Mullineux with a vision to showcase the unique terroirs of the Swartland through honest, expressive wines. Their philosophy of sustainable farming, minimal intervention, and respect for old vines has elevated them to international acclaim. In 2013, they partnered with Analjit Singh to expand their vision with the creation of Leeu Passant in Franschhoek.
