White peach, blood orange zest, and fresh herbs open with bright mineral energy. Roberto Anselmi ‘San Vincenzo’ Veneto IGT 2024 reflects the pioneering vision of Roberto Anselmi, who transformed modern Soave through low yields, Guyot training, and a decisive break from the Soave Classico consortium in pursuit of higher-quality white wines. Built primarily from Garganega with Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, the wine balances freshness, texture, and volcanic tension in a style that helped redefine Veneto white wine for a new generation.

Sensory Description:

The wine opens with blood orange granita, yellow peach, and citrus peel layered with fresh tarragon and wet stone. Producer’s Background:

Roberto Anselmi is widely regarded as one of the defining figures in modern Soave and Veneto white wine. Beginning in the 1970s, Anselmi rejected the high-yield practices that had diluted the reputation of the region and instead focused on lower yields, hillside vineyards, Guyot training, and precision cellar work. In 2000, Roberto Anselmi publicly withdrew from the Soave Classico consortium, choosing to bottle the wines under Veneto IGT in order to preserve stylistic independence and quality standards. Today, the estate farms approximately 70 hectares of high-altitude vineyards rooted in volcanic and limestone soils, producing whites known for texture, longevity, and mineral definition.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve chilled at 8 to 10 degrees Celsius in a medium-sized white wine glass to emphasize aromatics, texture, and mineral lift. Pair with sautéed mussels, rich seafood dishes, grilled prawns, risotto, roast chicken, or semi-soft cheeses.
