Winemaker's Background:

The Chardon family has cultivated their estate in Bellegarde, Gard since 1982, and has been working organically since 1987. Under the guidance of Jérôme Chardon, the vineyard embraced biodynamics in 2002 and was Demeter-certified shortly after. The vineyards are rooted in soils rich with rolled river stones (“gress”), once deposited by the Rhône, which offer excellent drainage and natural cooling. The Mediterranean climate, reinforced by the cleansing Mistral wind, supports healthy vine growth and reduces disease pressure. With minimal intervention in the cellar and meticulous vineyard care, Jérôme produces wines that are pure, vibrant expressions of terroir.
