WeldWerks Brewing Co. was founded in Greeley, Colorado, in 2015 by Neil Fisher and Colin Jones after years of homebrewing and a wager tied to Fisher’s success in homebrew competition. The brewery developed a national reputation for adventurous brewing and particularly for hazy IPA through beers such as Juicy Bits. North Park Beer Co. opened in San Diego in 2016 under founder and Head Brewer Kelsey McNair, whose Hop-Fu! IPA had already become one of the most decorated recipes in American homebrewing. McNair translated that hop-focused experience into a brewery known for highly expressive IPAs and later earned major professional competition recognition for Hop-Fu!.
