Product Details:

  • Varietal: Predominantly Garnacha with approximately 10% Tempranillo
  • Alcohol: 13.5%
  • Vine Age: Approximately 80 years
  • Fermentation: Indigenous yeast fermentation
  • Aging: 500-liter oak barrels and tinaja

Sensory Description:

Aromas of strawberry, raspberry, and red cherry are layered with rose petal, magnolia, and delicate herbal nuances. The palate is medium-bodied and finely textured, with bright red fruit at its core supported by fresh acidity and subtle spice. The influence of old vines brings depth and concentration without heaviness, while fine tannins provide gentle structure. Notes of dried herbs and floral tones linger through a long, pure finish, with a balance that leans toward elegance and lift rather than power.

Awards & Accolades:

  • 91+ Points: Wine Advocate, "A fruit-driven nose with aromas of berries, flowers and herbs… medium-bodied with fine tannins… balanced, easy to drink and very pleasant."

Winemaker’s Background:

Bodega Bernabeleva is known for its commitment to expressing Garnacha from old vineyards through minimal intervention and site-focused winemaking. Working with high-altitude, granite-influenced vineyards, the estate emphasizes indigenous fermentations, large-format aging vessels, and traditional techniques to preserve freshness and transparency. Their wines are often defined by a balance of rustic character and refined precision.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve slightly cool at 14 to 16°C in a Burgundy or universal glass to enhance its aromatic lift and texture. Pairs beautifully with roasted poultry, grilled vegetables, charcuterie, and Mediterranean dishes, as well as lighter red meat preparations.
