On the nose the 2021 Chiacchiera Rosso opens with bright cherry and raspberry fruit, layered with subtle violet blossom and a whisper of Mediterranean scrub herbs. The palate is lively and medium‑bodied, supported by fine tannins and bright acidity that lend lift and clarity. Flavours of red currant and ripe strawberry meld with a thread of savory herb, while the finish leaves a mineral echo and a clean, lingering impression of poised structure.

Producer’s Background:
Cantina Chiacchiera was founded in 2010 by the Mancianti family in the locality of Cervognano, on the hills of Montepulciano. The name “Chiacchiera” (meaning “chatterbox”) was chosen as a tribute to Mario Mancianti’s social nature and his warm hospitality to guests—an ethos the estate carries into the vineyard and cellar. Under the leadership of Emanuela Mancianti (who personally follows all phases of vineyard and winemaking work) the estate has devoted itself to crafting wines that reflect site and vintage rather than industrial flavour. Located on approximately 18 hectares (rising toward 20 hectares) of vineyard in a well‑regarded zone, the estate produces modest volumes, emphasising quality, terroir specificity and family stewardship. Over its short history the winery has earned growing respect for its Rosso di Montepulciano and Vino Nobile expressions and for its attention to detail from vine to bottle.

Serving Suggestions:
Serve this wine at approximately 60‑62 °F (16‑17 °C) to allow its fruit and structural elements to present themselves fully. Pair it with Tuscan cuisine such as pappardelle al ragù di cinghiale (wild boar pasta), grilled lamb chops with rosemary or aged pecorino cheese with a drizzle of Tuscan honey.
