Ruby light breaks through the glass with glimmers of garnet, catching the eye before a wave of dusty red earth, crushed wild berries, and warm leather stirs the senses. A quiet intensity builds on the nose as savory spice and subtle florals emerge, hinting at the complexity beneath the wine’s easy-drinking exterior. There’s nothing showy here, just soulful Italian structure softened by ripeness and grace.

Sensory Description:

The 2024 Toscana Rosso opens with ripe red cherry, dried rose petals, and just a whisper of leather and wild herbs. On the palate, it's generous yet composed, sanguine and supple, layered with plum, crushed raspberry, and a trace of baking spice. The finish is warm, earthy, and faintly smoky, drawing a fine line between rustic charm and modern balance.

Winemaker's Background:

Rooted in a 17th-century estate once belonging to Fabivs de' Vecchis, Bishop of Montalcino, Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona’s legacy weaves nobility, tradition, and transformation. After passing through the hands of the Ciacci family in the 19th century, the estate was revitalized in 1985 by Giuseppe Bianchini, once the estate’s farmer, then its visionary. Today, his children Paolo and Lucia carry on his legacy, joined by a new generation poised to uphold their family's devotion to precision and authenticity.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve at 64°F. This versatile red shines alongside cured meats, aged cheeses, grilled sausages, and classic Tuscan fare such as wild boar ragù or mushroom risotto. Its full body and earthy elegance make it a compelling partner for robust, savory dishes.

Plush yet grounded, the 2024 Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona Toscana Rosso IGT offers the warmth and soul of Tuscany in a bottle meant to be shared, unfussy, expressive, and deeply satisfying.
