Aromas rise like evening mist through cypress-lined hills, red berries, wild herbs, crushed violets, all announcing the arrival of something both noble and deeply rooted. With Casanuova delle Cerbaie Brunello di Montalcino 2016, every pour evokes the quiet strength of Montosoli’s slopes, where time, sun, and tradition converge in liquid form, a wine for moments that ask for gravity, grace, and lasting memory.

Winemaker's Background:

Casanuova delle Cerbaie was founded in the 1980s by a German vintner with a vision rooted in love for Montalcino. Since 2008, the estate has been guided by an American owner devoted to artisanal quality and restrained production. With just 35,000 bottles made annually, the focus remains on excellence over volume. Nestled between 250–350 meters on the esteemed Montosoli hill, the estate cultivates 10 hectares of Sangiovese on prime southwest-facing slopes, using only manual methods from vine to bottle.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve at 66–68°F and decant for at least one hour if consumed before the wine reaches full maturity. Ideal with aged Tuscan pecorino, braised lamb shank, or pappardelle al cinghiale. For cellaring, hold through 2040 to appreciate its full aromatic evolution.

Profound and patient, the 2016 Casanuova delle Cerbaie Brunello di Montalcino delivers a quietly powerful expression of terroir and time, crafted for those who appreciate Brunello in its most refined form.
