Sensory Description:

Aromas of fresh cherry, crushed peppercorn, and violet unfold with airy intensity. The palate brims with lively red berries, crushed stone, and savory spice, carried by sleek acidity and fine-grained tannins. There’s a purity here that speaks to both place and process, a mineral thread anchoring fruit that’s vivid, ripe, and wonderfully expressive. The finish lingers with precision and lift, revealing the structure and confidence of a producer coming into her own.

Winemaker's Background:

Elisa Guerin represents the new generation of Beaujolais talent. Based in Chénas, she farms four hectares across Moulin-à-Vent and Chiroubles that have been in her family since the early 1900s. After training as an agronomist, Elisa began converting her family’s vineyards to organics in 2019, emphasizing biodiversity, soil health, and minimal intervention in the cellar. Fermenting with native yeasts and aging in concrete rather than oak, she crafts wines that emphasize clarity and terroir over embellishment. Her Beaujolais-Villages cuvée, sourced from 50-year-old vines in Quincié, reflects both her technical precision and her deep respect for the land.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve between 55–60°F (13–16°C) in a medium red wine glass. Decant briefly to soften youthful edges and release aromatics. Ideal with roast chicken, duck breast, or burgers fresh off the grill. Its lively acidity also shines with charcuterie, roasted vegetables, or earthy mushroom dishes.

Elegant, energetic, and transparent, Elisa Guerin Beaujolais-Villages 2024 captures the pure joy of Gamay in motion, crafted with integrity and a sense of purpose by one of Beaujolais’ most promising young voices.
