Winemaker's Background:

Founded in 1927, Domaine des Ouled Thaleb is Morocco’s oldest winery and a leader in the region’s viticultural revival. Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Atlas Mountains, the estate encompasses over 200 hectares of organically farmed vineyards. It was during a late-1990s holiday in Morocco that Rhône icon Alain Graillot recognized the Zenata region’s resemblance to Crozes-Hermitage and launched a groundbreaking collaboration, creating Syrocco. Following Graillot’s passing in 2022, winemaker Stéphane Marriot continues the project with the same dedication to quality and terroir expression.
