Sensory Description:

Fresh cherry and raspberry leap from the glass, joined by subtle spice. The palate is round, juicy, and vibrant, bursting with crunchy red fruit and a supple texture. A lightly grippy finish amplifies both fruit and freshness, creating a mouthwatering, gluttonous close that makes restraint nearly impossible.

Winemaker's Background:

Les Vignerons d’Estezargues is a rare example of a cooperative committed to quality-driven, low-intervention winemaking. Established in 1965, the cellar shifted decisively toward natural methods in the 1980s, eliminating commercial yeasts and most additives while embracing organic farming and minimal sulfur. Under the guidance of current winemaker Armelle Rouault, the cooperative continues to champion transparency, terroir expression, and collective craftsmanship, proving that community-driven wine can be both serious and wildly fun.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve slightly chilled to heighten its freshness and crunchy fruit. This wine excels alongside warm-weather fare, charcuterie, grilled vegetables, simple poultry, and casual meals, or enjoyed on its own as a refreshing, crushable red when the temperature rises.

Bright, juicy, and dangerously charming, 2023 Vignerons d’Estezargues Carambouille closes with a rush of fruit and energy that practically demands another pour.
