February 2026 Wine Club

This month’s theme centers on the joy of discovery: finding wines that feel familiar and comforting, yet come from places that still surprise us. Regions like Mexico, Chile, and Argentina are no longer outliers in the fine-wine world, but they continue to challenge expectations by delivering bottles with balance, polish, and depth that rival long-established benchmarks.

Select Tier

For February’s Select Tier, this lineup is built around a clear idea: today’s best South American winemakers are producing wines with the same precision, balance, and depth long associated with Italy and France. Rather than chasing power, these bottles emphasize structure, freshness, and site expression, showing how regions like Chile and Argentina now stand confidently alongside the Old World in both quality and intent.

That story comes through vividly in wines like Viña San Pedro Sideral and Pielihueso Los Sauces Tinto. Sideral channels Bordeaux inspiration through the lens of the Cachapoal Valley, delivering polish and aging potential with an unmistakably classical sensibility. Across the Andes, Los Chacayes brings altitude, stony soils, and restraint to the forefront, resulting in a red that favors texture and savory nuance over sheer weight. Chile’s Colectivo Mutante PX1 Pedro Ximénez further reinforces the point, offering a dry, mineral-driven white whose tension and salinity will resonate with lovers of Friuli or northern France.

To frame these wines in a global context, the selection is anchored by reference points from Europe and the U.S. Domaine de la Vieille Julienne offers Rhône-inspired depth and tradition, Sant’ Elena Chardonnay highlights Friuli’s clarity and finesse, and Field Recordings Fiction Red brings a thoughtful California perspective. Together, this trio alongside the South American standouts underscores a simple truth: exceptional winemaking today is defined by intention and place, not geography, and South America is firmly part of that conversation.

Premium Tier

For February’s Premium Tier, the focus is on wines that challenge expectations and expand the conversation about where world-class wine is coming from today. Anchored by two standout bottles from Valle de Guadalupe, this selection highlights how Mexico has emerged as one of the most compelling fine-wine regions in the Americas, producing wines with structure, nuance, and confidence that invite comparison to Europe’s most respected traditions.

Bodegas Henri Lurton Le Nebbiolo is the clearest statement of that ambition, translating a famously demanding Italian variety into a wine of tension, perfume, and grip that feels thoughtful rather than imitative. Alongside it, Monte Xanic Cabernet Sauvignon–Merlot showcases the polish and balance that helped define modern Mexican wine, blending ripe fruit with restraint and classic proportion. Together, these wines demonstrate how Baja producers are working at a level of precision that echoes northern Italy and Bordeaux, while still expressing their own landscape.

Completing the core trio is Robert Sinskey Vineyards Scintilla Abraxas, a wine that embodies California’s ability to merge creativity with terroir-driven seriousness. It provides an essential reference point, reinforcing the broader theme of this tier: premium wine today is shaped by intention, farming, and philosophy rather than geography alone. While additional selections round out the tier, these three wines set the tone, illustrating how Mexico now stands confidently within the global fine-wine conversation alongside California and Europe.

Private Sommelier Tier

For February’s Private Sommelier Tier, this selection represents the most flexible and elevated expression of our program, designed for clients who are building a cellar, planning a major gathering, or simply want access to the most compelling bottles at custom pricing. At its core, this tier emphasizes wines of pedigree, intention, and longevity, paired with versatility to suit individual goals month to month.

The foundation of the selection is anchored by three wines that define the global conversation right now. Bodegas Henri Lurton Le Nebbiolo and Monte Xanic Cabernet Sauvignon–Merlot continue to highlight Valle de Guadalupe’s emergence as a serious fine-wine region, where precision, structure, and balance rival benchmarks from Italy and France. Alongside them, Robert Sinskey Vineyards Scintilla Abraxas offers a deeply expressive, terroir-driven California reference point, underscoring how thoughtful farming and restrained winemaking elevate wines beyond regional stereotypes.

Expanding beyond the core, the Private Sommelier tier opens the door to bottles with both aging potential and celebratory appeal. Pray Tell Chardonnay delivers Willamette Valley elegance and quiet power, Envinate La Santa de Úrsula captures the raw, volcanic energy of Tenerife with soulful restraint, and Hilary Goldschmidt Charming Creek Cabernet Sauvignon provides Oakville pedigree built for the long term. For moments that call for something festive yet serious, Bénédicte & Stéphane Tissot BBF Crémant du Jura brings precision, energy, and craftsmanship. Together, these wines reflect the purpose of the Private Sommelier tier: access to the best, guided by context, flexibility, and a deeper understanding of what each client truly needs.
