Cool ocean winds and sun-warmed limestone cliffs shape the vibrant personality of the 2024 Outward Valdiguié, a wine that channels the playful spirit of California’s Central Coast while honoring the quiet beauty of old vine plantings. Light, juicy, and irresistibly fresh, this Valdiguié captures the variety’s heritage charm through a carbonic, whole-cluster expression that practically hums with energy.

Sensory Description:

The 2024 Outward Valdiguié bursts with bright, high-toned aromatics of macerated strawberry, fresh cherry, and watermelon Jolly Rancher. A carbonic lift keeps the wine electric and glou-glou in style, while crisp acidity adds definition to the juicy core. Exceptionally light on its feet yet packed with fruit-driven charm, this is Valdiguié at its most expressive and refreshing.

Winemaker's Background:

Outward Wines is the ongoing adventure of winemakers and owners Natalie Siddique and Ryan Pace, whose small-lot production highlights organically farmed vineyards from the San Luis Obispo Coast to Santa Barbara County. Their philosophy centers on minimal-intervention winemaking, native yeast, old French oak, and zero fining or filtration, to express each site with clarity and honesty. Farming several vineyards themselves while sourcing from coastal-influenced growers, they merge technical precision with an explorer’s spirit, crafting wines shaped by landscapes, travel, and experience.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve well-chilled at 10–13°C (50–55°F) to emphasize its bright, crunchy profile. The 2024 Valdiguié shines with picnic fare, charcuterie, roast chicken, bánh mì, grilled vegetables, salmon burgers, soft cheeses, or anything that calls for a zippy, fruit-forward red. It’s equally perfect on its own, an effortless, low-tannin red built for long afternoons and warm evenings.

With its aromatic lift, featherlight palate, and joyful drinkability, the 2024 Outward Valdiguié stands as one of the Central Coast’s most charming expressions, easy to love, deeply expressive, and unmistakably Outward in character.
