Brewer's Background:

Founded on monastic tradition, St. Bernardus traces its roots to the early 1900s when Trappist monks relocated from Mont des Cats to Watou, establishing a refuge that eventually grew into both a cheese dairy and later a brewery. After years of producing beer under license for Westvleteren, the brewery transitioned to its own brand in 1992, forging a global reputation for rich, authentic Belgian ales. Under the leadership of the Depypere family since 1998, St. Bernardus has expanded production, modernized facilities, and become a world-renowned destination for beer lovers. Today, the brewery’s iconic recipes, crafted with historic yeast strains and steadfast tradition, are enjoyed in more than 80 countries.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve well‑chilled at 36–43°F (2–6°C) in a classic tumbler-style Belgian witbier glass to enhance its citrus-spice aromatics and lively carbonation. Exceptionally food‑friendly, it pairs beautifully with shellfish, white fish, fresh salads, creamy risotto, or dishes accented with lemon and herbs. A gentle pour preserves its cloudiness and allows its fragrant bouquet to bloom.

St. Bernardus Witbier is a vibrant, elegantly crafted expression of Belgian wheat beer tradition, zesty, smooth, and refreshingly timeless.
