Winemaker's Background:

The Steinschaden family has farmed around Engabrunn for six generations, maintaining a traditional approach centered on estate fruit and careful hand harvesting. Winemaker Karl Steinschaden works with small fermentation tanks and an historic subterranean cellar, using restrained wood influence to preserve the wine’s character. The family also safeguards a Renaissance-era basket press dating to 1564, originally associated with the Benedictine Abbey of Göttweig.
