  • Head Brewer: Sam Bennett
  • ABV: 8.0%
  • Hops: Nelson
  • Production: Rotating single-hop series produced in individually identified batches

Sensory Description:

The aroma opens with lemon bar, ripe tropical fruit, and bright red-fruit candy. The palate is full and smooth, carrying mango gummy bear, citrus confection, and berry-like hop character across a substantial Double IPA frame. Sweet fruit impressions are balanced by measured hop bitterness and enough freshness to retain focus, while the finish lingers with citrus, tropical fruit, and a gently resinous edge.

Brewer's Background:

Cerebral Brewing was founded in 2015 by Sean Buchan and Dan McGuire in Denver’s Congress Park neighborhood. Buchan serves as Co-Founder and CEO, McGuire as Co-Founder and CFO, and Sam Bennett leads the brewing team as Head Brewer. The brewery applies precise methodology and in-house quality control across hop-driven ales, foeder-fermented lagers, and barrel-aged beers. Scam Likely demonstrates its experimental approach through a recurring format that isolates a different hop variety in each batch, allowing the character of individual cultivars to take center stage.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve chilled at 7 to 9 degrees Celsius in a tulip or IPA glass to concentrate its tropical, citrus, and candy-like aromatics. Pair with spicy fried chicken, barbecue pork, grilled burgers, sharp cheddar, blue cheese, or richly seasoned tacos. Its 8.0% ABV and concentrated hop profile make it best suited to measured pours and relaxed sipping.

Cerebral Brewing

But Cerebral Brewing is more than its beer. Deeply rooted in the community, the brewery has always seen craft beer as a platform for positive change. Each year, they dedicate a portion of profits to local nonprofits, focusing on causes like women’s rights, LGBTQ+ equality, anti-gun violence, and healthcare access. Their monthly Queer Beers events, created by queer staff for the queer community, donate proceeds from every pint to rotating nonprofit partners.
