Toasted bread, rich malt, and gentle noble-hop spice open with a rounded, classically lagered profile. Grimm Brothers Brewing 'Farmer's Daughter' Oktoberfest Lager Beer is a traditional Märzen built from German malts and Noble hops, with its name tied to the brewery’s characteristic fairy-tale storytelling and a formidable farm-raised queen. It continues Grimm Brothers’ long-running focus on traditional and historical German-inspired beer styles.

Product Details:

  • ABV: 6.5%
  • Malt: Munich, Vienna, Pilsner, Caramunich
  • Hops: Magnum, Mittelfrüh, Saaz
  • Production: Seasonal

Sensory Description:

Rich bready malt leads the profile, layered with toasted grain and a measured depth from Munich, Vienna, Pilsner, and Caramunich malts. Magnum, Mittelfrüh, and Saaz bring mild Noble-hop bitterness and restrained herbal-spice character, keeping the malt richness composed rather than heavy. The palate remains balanced through a moderately dry finish, giving this Märzen a clean, structured close.

Brewer's Background:

Grimm Brothers Brewing was founded in July 2010 and has become the longest continually operating brewery in Loveland, Colorado. Established by homebrewers Don Chapman and Aaron Heaton, the brewery built its identity around traditional and historical German-inspired styles paired with names and stories drawn from the world of Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm. Jesse Sommers and Lynx Hawthorne acquired the brewery in 2023, beginning a new ownership chapter while maintaining its German brewing focus and fairy-tale identity. Farmer's Daughter follows that tradition with a story centered on a farm-raised queen who confronts a traveling swindler before settling down with a well-earned stein of lager.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve at 7 to 10 degrees Celsius in a handled beer stein, mug, or lager glass to emphasize its toasted malt character and clean finish. Pair with bratwurst, roast pork, schnitzel, pretzels with mustard, grilled sausages, roasted chicken, or nutty Alpine-style cheeses.
