Lawson’s Finest Liquids was founded by Sean Lawson in 2008, beginning as a one-barrel brewery beside the Lawson family home in Warren, Vermont. Sean’s wife and business partner, Karen Lawson, later joined the brewery, and together they have grown Lawson’s Finest into an independent Vermont craft brewery centered on hop-forward ales, freshness, and a strong connection to the Green Mountains. The brewery expanded to a production brewery, taproom, and retail destination in Waitsfield in 2018 and is now a Certified B Corporation. Hopcelot has been part of the Lawson’s Finest portfolio since at least 2014, reflecting the brewery’s longstanding fascination with expressive hop combinations.
