4 Noses Brewing Co. 'Oktoberfest' Märzen Style Lager Beer takes a traditional malt-driven lager style in an intentionally approachable direction. At 6.1% ABV and 25 IBU, it balances the richer character associated with Märzen with the brewery’s emphasis on a light, easy-drinking profile. The result is a smooth seasonal lager built for generous pours, autumn gatherings, and the convivial spirit that defines Oktoberfest.

  • IBU: 25

Sensory Description:

Malt character sits at the center of this Märzen-style lager, presented with a lighter touch than many examples of the style. Moderate bitterness at 25 IBU provides enough structure to balance the malt without shifting the beer toward a hop-driven profile. At 6.1% ABV, it retains satisfying depth while remaining smooth and notably easy drinking, finishing clean enough to invite another sip.

Brewer's Background:

4 Noses Brewing Company grew from a family idea that began during a 2008 trip to Ireland. While gathered over pints of Guinness, the Bibliowicz family and a close friend noticed the four family members’ prominent noses, providing the inspiration for the brewery’s name. Brewmaster and co-owner Tommy Bibliowicz subsequently helped turn that idea into a brewery devoted to making beers the family themselves wanted to drink. Based in Broomfield, Colorado, 4 Noses describes its mission as socially responsible brewing driven by passion and creativity, with a portfolio spanning classic lagers and ales alongside experimental, sour, and barrel-aged releases. Oktoberfest represents the more traditional side of that philosophy, interpreting the classic Märzen style with an emphasis on drinkability.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve at 5 to 7 degrees Celsius in a dimpled beer mug, stein, or Willi Becher glass. Its malt-driven character and moderate bitterness make it a natural partner for bratwurst with mustard, schnitzel, roast chicken, soft pretzels, grilled sausages, roasted pork, or alpine-style cheeses. The beer’s comparatively light, easy-drinking construction also makes it well suited to cookouts, game days, and Oktoberfest-inspired gatherings.
