Sensory description

‘JIJIJI’ Chenin Blanc opens with striking aromas of quince, pear, and lemon zest, followed by delicate hints of chamomile and flint. On the palate, it’s vibrant and textural  flavors of green apple, white peach, and crushed stone weave through a taut mineral frame. The finish is long and saline, with a whisper of honeycomb and citrus peel that lingers like sunlight on cool stone. It’s Chenin Blanc reimagined through the wild lens of the Andes  electric, tactile, and alive

Winemaker’s Background

Founded in 2012 by winemaker Gerardo Michelini and his wife Andrea Muffato, Gen del Alma is a small family winery based in Gualtallary, a high-altitude subregion of the Uco Valley. The couple is known for their minimal-intervention philosophy and deep respect for terroir, crafting wines that speak of place rather than process. With ‘JIJIJI’, they channel the raw, stony energy of the Andes into a wine that feels both ancient and avant-garde  a reflection of their fearless curiosity.

Serving Suggestions

Serve chilled at 8–10°C (46–50°F). Its crisp acidity and minerality make it ideal alongside oysters, grilled octopus, or goat cheese croquettes. It also pairs beautifully with fresh spring salads, sushi, or roasted chicken with lemon and thyme.

Brimming with vitality and precision, Gen del Alma ‘JIJIJI’ Chenin Blanc captures the spirit of Argentina’s new generation  daring, transparent, and joyfully expressive. Each sip hums with tension and laughter, echoing the mountains from which it was born.
