Winemaker’s Background:

The Grassi family has owned the land since the 1600s, historically working as both winemakers and blacksmiths in the Lamole area. In 2000, Susanna Grassi returned to revive the estate, converting the vineyards to organic cultivation and establishing I Fabbri as a benchmark of sustainable, terroir-driven Chianti Classico. Situated in the Casolese amphitheatre at elevations between 450 and 600 meters, the estate’s sandy soils, southern exposures, and significant temperature shifts produce wines of aromatic finesse and mineral clarity. Today, I Fabbri stands as a classic estate built on quality, authenticity, and environmental stewardship.
