Tired Hands Brewing Company was founded by Jean Broillet IV, who opened the original Brew Café in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, in 2012 after developing his craft through homebrewing and the Pennsylvania brewing industry. His early influences combined the hop-driven pale ales of the American West Coast with the dry farmhouse traditions of France and Belgium. Tired Hands expanded with its Fermentaria production brewery and restaurant in 2015 while maintaining an emphasis on small-batch brewing, experimentation, and highly expressive beer. Alien Church became one of the brewery's defining hop-forward beers, while DDH Alien Church pushes the concept further through an additional level of dry-hop saturation.
