Sensory Description:

Blond to gold-yellow in the glass, Tucher Festbier is led by a rounded malt character with impressions of fresh bread, pale grain, and gentle malt sweetness. The palate is full-bodied and smooth, with enough weight to give the beer its festive character without becoming excessively heavy. Restrained hop character provides balance through the finish, which remains clean, firm, and pleasantly dry enough to encourage another sip.

Brewer's Background:

Tucher’s brewing heritage is closely tied to Nürnberg, with roots reaching to the city’s Weizenbrauhaus established in 1672. The Freiherrliche Familie von Tucher acquired the brewery in 1855, giving the house the name and emblem it retains today. Tucher became part of the Radeberger Group in 2004, and in 2008 opened its distinctive Zwei-Städte-Sudhaus directly on the boundary between Nürnberg and Fürth. Water from the brewery’s deep wells in the protected Rednitz meadows is piped to the brewhouse, continuing an important element of its local brewing identity. Tucher Festbier forms part of the brewery’s longstanding relationship with the Nürnberger Volksfest, for which a dedicated festival beer is brewed.

Serve at approximately 7 to 9°C in a handled beer mug, stein, or generously sized lager glass.
