Citrus, ripe tropical fruit, and a bright hop-driven lift define WeldWerks Brewing's 'Itsy Bits' Hazy Pale Ale Beer. Brewed with Citra, Mosaic, and El Dorado hops, this 5.1% ABV New England-style pale ale takes inspiration from WeldWerks' better-known Juicy Bits while delivering that hazy, fruit-forward approach in a more restrained pale ale frame. It reflects the brewery's broader commitment to continually refining recipes, techniques, and hop expression.

Product Details:

  • Owners: Neil Fisher and Colin Jones
  • Head Brewer: Skip Schwartz
  • ABV: 5.1%
  • Hops: Citra, Mosaic, and El Dorado

Sensory Description:

Itsy Bits opens with citrus peel and ripe tropical fruit, with Citra, Mosaic, and El Dorado providing layers of mango, pineapple, grapefruit, and lightly resinous hop character. The palate is soft and hazy in style, balancing expressive fruit-driven hops with a lighter body than a full-strength hazy IPA. Moderate bitterness keeps the beer focused, while citrus and tropical tones carry through a clean, refreshing finish.

Brewer's Background:

WeldWerks Brewing Co. was founded by Neil Fisher and Colin Jones and opened in Greeley in 2015, growing out of Fisher's years of homebrewing and competition success. The brewery has since built a wide-ranging portfolio spanning hop-forward ales, lagers, sour beers, barrel-aged releases, and experimental specialties. Production now runs across both a 15-barrel 3-vessel steam brewhouse and a 30-barrel 4-vessel steam brewhouse, with Head Brewer Skip Schwartz leading the brewing team. WeldWerks describes its approach as continually “dialing in” processes and recipes, a philosophy particularly evident in its ongoing work with modern hop varieties and hazy beer styles.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve chilled at 7 to 10 degrees Celsius in a tulip, nonic pint, or IPA glass to emphasize its citrus and tropical hop aromatics. Pair with grilled chicken, fish tacos, spicy noodles, sharp cheddar, burgers, or citrus-accented dishes, where the beer's soft body and bright hop character can provide freshness without overwhelming the food.
