Sensory Description:

Amber in the glass, Pumpkin Prince opens with roasted pumpkin, toasted bread, and lightly caramelized malt before cinnamon and nutmeg emerge through the middle. Vanilla adds softness without turning the beer overtly sweet, while the lager base keeps the texture smooth and controlled. Moderate bitterness and clean fermentation bring the flavors back into balance, giving the finish a crisp, gently spiced character that remains refreshing rather than heavy.

Producer’s Background:

Wibby Brewing opened in Longmont in 2015 with a singular focus on craft lager. Co-Founder and Brewmaster Ryan Wibby developed his brewing experience at Iron Hill, Ithaca Beer Company, and Deschutes before completing the Certified Brewmaster program at VLB Berlin. That combination of German brewing education and American craft experience became the foundation of Wibby’s approach, pairing traditional cold fermentation and lager conditioning with playful ingredients and distinctly modern recipes. Pumpkin Prince continues that philosophy by taking the familiar flavors of pumpkin beer and placing them within a cleaner, more restrained amber lager framework. The beer was previously known as Pumpkin King before appearing under its current Pumpkin Prince name.
