White peach, lychee, citrus zest, and white flowers rise from the glass with bright, aromatic lift. 2025 Kuentz-Bas Blanc brings together Sylvaner, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Muscat, Pinot Gris, and Gewurztraminer from organically farmed Alsace vineyards, fermented and aged in century-old neutral foudres for texture and complexity. It reflects the domaine’s devotion to both noble grand cru bottlings and expressive regional wines built on freshness, balance, and transparent vineyard character.

Sensory Description:

Pale gold in color, the wine opens with fresh peach, lychee, honeysuckle, citrus zest, and a subtle flinty note. The palate is dry, light-bodied, and refreshing, with stone fruit and bright acidity carried by a clean mineral line. Gewürztraminer adds a delicate touch of spice, while Riesling and Sylvaner bring lift and precision through a persistent, food-friendly finish.

Winemaker’s Background:

Kuentz-Bas is a historic Alsace domaine based in Husseren-les-Châteaux, an elevated village on the Alsace Wine Route. Under the direction of Jean-Baptiste and Laure Adam, the estate farms organically and works with biodynamic principles, focusing on wines that preserve clarity, freshness, and regional identity. The domaine’s use of old neutral foudres allows its blends and single-variety bottlings to develop texture without masking the aromatic detail of Alsace’s traditional grapes.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve chilled at 10 to 13 degrees Celsius in a medium-sized white wine glass to highlight its floral aromatics, citrus freshness, and mineral finish. Pair with grilled bratwurst, crab cakes, choucroute garnie, potato samosas, Asian cuisine, herb-driven dishes, hard cheeses, or patio-friendly appetizers.
