Sensory Description:

Lifted aromas of white blossom, lemon zest, grapefruit and ripe white peach are framed by delicate notes of crushed stone and wet flint. The palate is vibrant and focused, revealing citrus, orchard fruit and subtle floral nuances supported by lively acidity and a finely textured mouthfeel from extended lees ageing. A long, saline finish carries persistent mineral notes, delivering the tension, precision and ageing potential that define outstanding dry Vouvray.

Winemaker's Background:

Working from her family estate in Vernou-sur-Brenne, Estelle Bidault has become part of a new generation of Loire winemakers dedicated to expressing the purity of place through dry Chenin Blanc. Her 17-hectare vineyard is farmed sustainably with reduced yields, cover crops and careful canopy management to preserve natural balance. Harvesting is carried out in multiple passes to achieve optimal ripeness while maintaining vibrant acidity. In the cellar, gentle pressing, native yeast fermentations and patient lees ageing allow the character of Vouvray's flint-rich soils to take centre stage. Through the Mary Taylor portfolio, her wines introduce drinkers to the authentic expression of one of France's most distinctive appellations.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve chilled at 8-10°C. Pair beautifully with oysters, grilled prawns, roast chicken, freshwater fish, goat's cheese, asparagus, sushi, creamy risotto or herb-roasted vegetables. Its vibrant acidity and mineral precision also make it an outstanding aperitif and an excellent companion to refined seafood dishes.
