Orange blossom and tropical fruit make an expressive first impression in 2025 Peri Peri 'Liola' Zibibbo Terre Siciliane IGT, while its dry palate brings freshness and a lightly saline finish. This organically grown, vegan-friendly Sicilian white is made from Zibibbo, also known as Muscat of Alexandria, and aged in stainless steel. At 12.5% ABV, it combines pineapple, mango and ripe stone fruit with Mediterranean herbs, offering an aromatic alternative for seafood dinners or a chilled aperitif.

Sensory Description:

Pineapple, mango and yellow peach mingle with orange blossom and a subtle jasmine note. Apricot and sweet almond add depth, while wild oregano and fennel introduce a savoury counterpoint to the fruit and flowers. The palate remains dry and juicy, with citrus freshness supporting ripe stone-fruit flavours and a smooth, full texture. A gentle saline impression brings definition to the finish, keeping the aromatic richness balanced and inviting.

Awards & Accolades:

  • Wine Enthusiast, 90 Points: July 2026, reviewed by Danielle Callegari. “The citrus, floral palate combines more almonds with developing flavors of dense, ripe stone fruit to create a slick, full mouthfeel.”

Winemaker’s Background:

Peri Peri is the De Cerchio family’s Sicilian estate near Sciacca in the province of Agrigento, a few kilometres from the sea. Its story began with the family’s attraction to this coastal farmland in 1971, and its vineyards now include Zibibbo alongside several other Sicilian varieties. Year-round breezes and varied reddish alluvial soils define the estate’s setting. Under the wider Famiglia De Cerchio group, led by Federico De Cerchio, the production philosophy centres on organic cultivation and spontaneous fermentation, with an emphasis on preserving the aromatic character of each grape variety.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve at 6–8°C in a medium-sized white wine glass, allowing it to warm slightly as the floral and herbal aromas unfold. Pair with grilled prawns, simply prepared fish, seafood pasta or vegetable couscous with fresh herbs. Its aromatic fruit also complements mildly spiced dishes, while citrus-dressed vegetables provide a refreshing match. For an aperitif spread, try marinated olives, salted almonds, fennel salad or crostini with fresh goat cheese.
