Brewer's Background:

Revolution Brewing grew from founder Josh Deth's years in Chicago beer and hospitality, beginning with brewing work in the 1990s before the Revolution brewpub finally opened in 2010. Its production brewery followed in 2012, allowing the independently owned company to expand while keeping its brewing operations rooted in Chicago. Brewmaster Jim Cibak has been with Revolution since its opening and has played a central role in shaping its hop-focused brewing program. The Hero series became a particularly important laboratory for that work, exploring dozens of hop varieties, changing grain bills, yeast strains, water chemistry, and brewing techniques across successive releases. West Coast-Hero emerged from that experimentation as the brewery's most revisited Small Batch beer and ultimately earned a permanent position alongside the core Hero IPAs.
