Summer West Bourbon Co. was founded by Noah Purdom with the goal of presenting bourbon through a more contemporary and approachable lens. The brand grew from Purdom’s earlier Bravado Whiskey project and was subsequently developed under the Summer West identity, with a renewed visual direction centered on summer, Colorado, and a less traditional presentation of American whiskey. Rather than operating as the distiller, Summer West selects mature whiskey barrel by barrel, with its current bourbons sourced from a distillery in Owensboro, Kentucky. A defining part of the brand’s concept is its focus on whiskey entered into barrels during the warmer summer months, an idea that also inspired the Summer West name.
