Usiglian del Vescovo’s roots trace back to the 11th century when vines were planted to supply wine for Mass by order of the Bishop of Lucca. Today, the estate spans 160 hectares in the heart of the Alta Valdera, with 25 hectares under vine. Since 2001, under new ownership, the estate has prioritized sustainable farming and organic certification, driven by a deep respect for the land's fragility and potential. The vineyard's ancient, seashell-laced soils and proximity to the Tyrrhenian Sea give the wines their signature salinity and freshness.
