Pale gold in color, this expressive Sancerre opens with aromas of grapefruit, green apple, gooseberry, white flowers, and delicate notes of mango and white peach. Layers of citrus, orchard fruit, and subtle exotic fruit glide across the palate before giving way to a chalky, saline finish marked by freshness, persistence, and remarkable purity. The Sautereau family has been producing wine in Crézancy-en-Sancerre since 1683, making this one of the region’s enduring family estates. Today, David Sautereau leads the tenth generation, farming vineyards across Crézancy, Bue, and Sancerre. The estate’s diverse mix of caillottes, Kimmeridgian limestone, and clay soils provides added complexity and depth, elevating the wines beyond a typical entry-level Sancerre.
