Sensory Description:

Deep garnet in color, this Cabernet opens with inviting aromas of ripe blackberries, cassis, and dried bay leaf. The palate unfolds smoothly, revealing dark berry fruit, hints of violets, and subtle spice from a dash of Petit Verdot. Medium to full-bodied, it offers plush texture, fine-grained tannins, and balanced acidity, keeping the wine fresh and food-friendly. The finish lingers with notes of cocoa and laurel, showcasing both the warmth of Happy Canyon and the elegant restraint of the Land of Saints style.

Winemaker's Background:

Formed by three friends from different corners of the world, Angela Osborne (New Zealand), Jason Osborne (Cornwall, England), and Manuel Cuevas (California by way of Mexico), Land of Saints Wine Company was born from shared values of authenticity, community, and respect for the land. Their name pays homage to Cornwall’s ancient “Age of Saints,” a nod to Jason’s heritage, and reflects their shared philosophy: to make honest, soulful wines rooted in place. With vineyards spread across Santa Barbara County’s diverse terroirs, the trio crafts expressive, sustainably farmed wines that tell the story of California’s “golden land.”

Serving Suggestions:

Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to highlight its generous aromatics and supple texture. Pair with grilled lamb chops, herb-crusted ribeye, or mushroom risotto. Its lush fruit and balanced acidity also complement roasted vegetables and aged cheeses, making it an effortless match for both elegant dinners and casual gatherings.

The 2023 Land of Saints Cabernet Sauvignon is a true expression of friendship, place, and purpose, a wine that unites heart, heritage, and harmony in every sip.
