Second Dawn Brewing Co. For The Rest of Us Lager Beer is a fresh, modern interpretation of the beloved German lagers traditionally poured during Oktoberfest. Brewed with a focus on balance and drinkability, this lager offers a smooth, clean profile that blends classic malt richness with a present yet refined hop character, making it an ideal companion for both festive occasions and everyday enjoyment.

Product Details:

  • Style: German-Style Lager (Oktoberfest-inspired)
  • ABV: 6.1%
  • Color: Yellow to gold
  • Malt Profile: Lightly toasty with a bread dough quality
  • Hop Character: Noticeable yet balanced

Sensory Description:

Pouring a golden hue with a gentle sheen, For The Rest of Us Lager delivers inviting aromas of fresh-baked bread, lightly toasted grains, and subtle floral hops. On the palate, the malt character takes center stage with notes of biscuit and warm bread crust, complemented by a crisp hop bitterness that keeps each sip lively. The finish is clean and refreshing, with just enough hop presence to encourage another pour.

Brewer's Background:

Second Dawn Brewing Co., based in Aurora, Colorado, draws its name from both place and philosophy. “Aurora” translates to “dawn” in Latin, while “second dawn” symbolizes the moment when work is done and the best part of the day begins. This ethos infuses every beer they make, aiming to transport drinkers to their happy place with well-crafted, approachable brews rooted in tradition yet shaped by a modern sensibility.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve chilled at 42–46°F to highlight its crisp malt character and balanced hop notes. This lager pairs beautifully with bratwurst, pretzels, roasted chicken, or alpine cheeses, making it a natural fit for an Oktoberfest-style spread or casual backyard gathering.

For The Rest of Us Lager is a tribute to timeless brewing tradition, reimagined for today’s drinker, an easygoing yet characterful beer that’s as satisfying at a festival table as it is on a quiet evening at home.

Second Dawn Brewing Company

Second Dawn Brewing Company emerged in Aurora, Colorado, as a heartfelt expression of gratitude, creativity, and craftsmanship. The name nods both to the city itself, Aurora being Latin for “dawn”, and to the time when the workday ends and the best part begins: the second dawn, that moment of relaxation and connection. The brewery lives this philosophy: Second Dawn is the happy place, and every beer is intended as a gateway to yours.
