Established in 2009, Tequila Gran Dovejo was developed to showcase traditional, small-batch tequila with a distinctive agave-forward character. Production was entrusted to the Feliciano Vivanco distillery in Arandas, where the Vivanco family has cultivated highland agave for more than five generations. The brand's current materials credit Maestro Tequilero Sergio Cruz with developing its flavour profile, while earlier accounts identify Leopoldo Solís Tinoco as a key master distiller. Gran Dovejo emphasizes estate-grown agave, slow brick-oven cooking, carefully managed fermentation, and copper pot distillation. Its Blanco expression preserves these elements without oak influence.
