Blending parcels from Barolo and Barbaresco vineyards, this wine captures the finesse of Nebbiolo with the approachability of a Langhe DOC bottling, offering both elegance and intensity in every glass.

Sensory Description:

Perfumed aromas of red cherries, raspberries, and violets lift from the glass, mingling with subtle notes of rose, menthol, sweet spice, and a hint of minerality. The palate is both rich and structured, balancing juicy red fruit with layers of floral and spicy complexity. Fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity carry into a persistent, intense finish that leaves a lasting impression of Nebbiolo’s elegance and power.

Winemaker's Background:

Founded in the late 1800s in Castiglione Falletto, Vietti has long been one of the most celebrated names in Piemonte. The visionary Alfredo Currado, known as the “Father of Arneis,” was among the first to champion single-vineyard Barolo crus in the 1960s and helped save Arneis from extinction. He and his wife, Luciana, also pioneered Vietti’s tradition of commissioning unique label artwork, blending fine art with fine wine. Their son Luca carried the estate’s reputation forward into the modern era. In 2016, the Krause family acquired Vietti, bringing investment and expansion into new crus, while maintaining the family’s legacy of quality.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve at 16–18 °C after decanting for 1–2 hours to soften youthful tannins and unlock aromatic complexity. Ideal pairings include braised meats, roasted game, truffle risotto, aged cheeses, or hearty pasta dishes with wild mushrooms. Enjoy now for its vibrancy or cellar for up to 8 years to reveal greater depth and refinement.

Vietti ‘Perbacco’ Langhe Nebbiolo 2023 is both a celebration of Nebbiolo’s elegance and a testament to Vietti’s mastery of Piemonte’s terroir. With its balance of richness, aromatic lift, and age-worthy structure, it bridges everyday accessibility with the grandeur of Barolo and Barbaresco, making it a benchmark example of Langhe Nebbiolo.
