Distiller’s Background:

Alexandre Gabriel created Citadelle in 1996, establishing a French gin brand rooted in Maison Ferrand’s distilling expertise in the Charente. Based at Château de Bonbonnet, the house combines traditional knowledge with botanical research and experimentation. Citadelle 0.0 extends that work through a dedicated development project led by Gabriel alongside Fannie Thibaud and the creation team.

Serving Suggestions:

For the producer’s Zero & Tonic, fill a large balloon glass with ice, add one part Citadelle 0.0 and two parts tonic water, then stir gently and finish with expressed lemon zest. Serve alongside olives, lightly salted nuts, citrus-dressed seafood or vegetable appetizers. It can also provide the botanical base for an alcohol-free French 75 variation made with lemon, syrup and alcohol-free sparkling wine.
