Winemaker's Background:

Founded in 1970, Le Monde is located in the heart of Friuli Grave between the provinces of Treviso and Pordenone. The historic eighteenth-century estate entered a transformative new era in 2008 when entrepreneur Alex Maccan acquired the property and invested heavily in both vineyard and winery modernisation. Today, Le Monde encompasses approximately 100 hectares of vineyards, many planted decades ago on distinctive clay and limestone soils that differ significantly from the gravel-dominated terrain common throughout the region. Under the direction of winemaker Giovanni Ruzzene, the winery combines Friuli's deeply rooted traditions with state-of-the-art technology, producing wines celebrated for their purity, elegance, and sense of place.
