Winemaker's Background:

The Leitz family's winemaking history is rooted in Rüdesheim am Rhein, where the estate was rebuilt by Josef Leitz following the Second World War. Johannes Leitz assumed responsibility for the family winery in 1985 after completing his training as a master vintner and subsequently developed the property into one of the Rheingau's recognized estates. Alongside its traditional wines, Leitz has invested extensively in dealcoholized winemaking, applying gentle vacuum distillation to finished wines in an effort to retain varietal aroma, freshness, and structure after alcohol removal.
