A. Lamblot 'Reserve Perpetuelle' Brut Nature, Champagne, France is a Blanc de Noirs built from an evolving reserve of old-vine Pinot Noir. Begun in 2017 and documented through 2021, the blend draws from Vrigny and Chenay, where sandy soils and a measured touch of silt shape its site expression. Zero dosage keeps the wine dry and direct, letting its fruit, floral lift and mineral finish take center stage.

Sensory Description:

Crushed flowers, orchard fruit and mint lead the aromatics, followed by ripe red berries, bitter citrus and toasted bread. The palate combines concentrated Pinot Noir fruit with a rounded, pillowy mousse and a silky, stony texture. Bright acidity gives the wine lift, while the long finish brings together saline minerality, floral notes and a delicate citrus bitterness.

Awards & Accolades:

  • James Suckling: 95 points, describing the wine as “silky, nuanced and wonderfully open-knit.”
  • Jeb Dunnuck: 95 points, noting “ripe red berries, refreshing bitter citrus, toasted bread, and floral perfume.”

Producer’s Background:

Alexandre Lamblot represents a Champagne winegrowing family with roots in the region dating to the 17th century. He began a separate project under the A. Lamblot label in the mid-2010s, releasing its first wines in 2019. His Réserve Perpétuelle reflects that grower-producer approach through an ongoing blend designed to put Pinot Noir and its vineyard origins ahead of any single harvest.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve at 8–10°C in a tulip-shaped Champagne glass or a white wine glass. Its dry finish and bright acidity suit oysters, scallops, roast chicken and aged Comté. Jeb Dunnuck’s published drinking window is 2025–2035, making the wine suitable to enjoy now or cellar for further development.
