Pizzolato Prosecco DOC Frizzante is a fresh, gently sparkling expression of Glera built around floral fragrance, crisp fruit and easygoing refreshment. Gentle pressing and cool fermentation preserve the grape's delicate aromatics before a second fermentation in pressurized tanks develops its light effervescence. Pale straw in the glass with greenish highlights, it brings together acacia blossom, white flowers and ripe pear, finishing fresh and pleasantly tangy. Certified organic and vegan, it reflects Pizzolato's longstanding commitment to environmentally conscious winegrowing and clean, expressive sparkling wines.

Sensory Description:

Pale straw yellow with greenish highlights and a gentle, lively sparkle. The nose is harmonious and delicately floral, led by acacia blossom. On the palate, fresh pear and white flowers emerge alongside bright acidity, giving the wine a clean, delicate and pleasantly tangy character. Its restrained effervescence and modest residual sugar create a balanced, refreshing finish without obscuring Glera's naturally light and aromatic personality.

Winemaker's Background:

La Cantina Pizzolato is a family-owned Veneto winery led by Settimo Pizzolato, who began working alongside his father Gino in 1981 and made organic farming central to the family's future. The estate achieved organic certification in 1991 and vegan certification in 2012. Today Settimo works alongside the next generation, including Federico Pizzolato, who oversees production, as the family continues its focus on organic viticulture, sparkling wine and increasingly sustainable production.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve well chilled at 4 to 6°C (39 to 43°F). Its floral character, pear fruit and refreshing acidity make it an ideal aperitif and a natural partner for appetizers, delicate dishes and vegetarian fare. For a traditional regional pairing, the producer recommends Vicenza-style codfish.
