Sensory Description:

Pale salmon in the glass, the wine opens with lifted floral aromas alongside blood orange, pink grapefruit, and just-ripe raspberry. The palate is bright, juicy, and dry, combining lively citrus with crunchy red berry fruit and a subtle mineral edge that reflects its volcanic origin. Fresh acidity carries the wine through a vibrant, refreshing finish, balancing fruit intensity with remarkable finesse and elegance.

Winemaker’s Background:

Barone di Villagrande traces its origins to 1727, when the Nicolosi Asmundo family was awarded the title of Baron after transforming a rugged stretch of Mount Etna into thriving vineyards. The estate later became one of the pioneers of modern Etna winemaking and played an important role in establishing the Etna DOC in 1968. Today, the family continues to cultivate its high-altitude vineyards using organic practices, producing wines that faithfully express the distinctive volcanic terroir and cool mountain climate of Sicily's most celebrated wine region.
