Producer’s Background:

Ross and Amy Koenigs opened Second Dawn Brewing in Aurora, Colorado, in February 2023, converting a former auto body shop into a neighbourhood gathering place. Ross brought training from the UC Davis Master Brewers Program and more than a decade of brewing innovation at New Belgium. Amy’s background in graphic design and communications helps shape the brewery’s identity. Their commitment to an inclusive drinks menu extends beyond beer to seltzers and alcohol-free choices such as Buttery Bear.

Buttery Bear was made in partnership with Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance, the nonprofit wildlife organisation formerly known as Denver Zoo. Its work combines animal care, education and field conservation in Colorado and internationally. The soda gives this local partnership an alcohol-free expression within Second Dawn’s range.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve well chilled, approximately 3–6°C, in a tall soda glass, with ice if desired. For a float, pour slowly over vanilla ice cream in a generously sized glass.
