Fresh pink grapefruit leads with bright citrus, gentle sweetness, and lively carbonation over the clean agave character of blanco tequila. Suerte Paloma Hard Seltzer combines sparkling water, real grapefruit juice, agave nectar, and Suerte Tequila Blanco in a refreshing take on the classic Paloma at 7% ABV. Its straightforward composition reflects Suerte's broader commitment to authentic tequila, beginning with traditionally produced 100% Blue Weber agave spirit from its dedicated distillery in Jalisco.

Sensory Description:

Bright pink grapefruit sets the tone, bringing fresh citrus, tangy acidity, and a lightly bittersweet edge against the clean vegetal character of blanco tequila. Fine carbonation keeps the palate brisk and refreshing, while agave nectar rounds the grapefruit's sharper edges without obscuring its freshness. The finish is crisp and citrus-driven, with lingering grapefruit and subtle agave character.

Awards & Accolades:

  • Double Gold: San Francisco Ready-to-Drink Competition 2024; SIP Awards 2024

Brewer's Background:

Suerte Tequila was founded in 2012 by Laurence Spiewak and Lance Sokol in partnership with Master Distiller Pedro Hernandez Barba. The company subsequently acquired the Tequilera Simbolo distillery, where Suerte is produced, with Barba retaining an ownership interest and continuing as Master Distiller. Suerte's tequila is made from 100% Blue Weber agave using traditional methods that include slow roasting in brick ovens, crushing with a volcanic-stone tahona, slow fermentation, and double distillation. This emphasis on traditional tequila production carries into the brand's ready-to-drink cocktails, which use Suerte Blanco as their spirits base rather than a neutral alcohol.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve well chilled at 3 to 6 degrees Celsius, either directly from the can or poured over ice in a highball or Collins glass. A fresh grapefruit wedge or grapefruit peel makes a natural garnish. Pair with fish tacos, ceviche, grilled shrimp, guacamole, citrus-marinated chicken, or lightly spicy Mexican dishes, where the grapefruit acidity and carbonation can provide a refreshing counterpoint.
