White pear, bright citrus, and fresh fennel give 2025 De Andrés Sisters Milenrama Blanco a clean, lifted aromatic profile. Ruth and Ana de Andrés produce this Rioja white from Viura and Tempranillo Blanco, with the fruit cooled on arrival and given a brief period of skin contact before pressing and controlled-temperature fermentation. The wine reflects the sisters’ broader philosophy of seeking distinctive Spanish vineyards and regional varieties, then handling them with precision to preserve freshness and a clear sense of place.

Sensory Description:

Pale and bright in appearance, the wine opens with white pear and fresh citrus, followed by a subtle fennel note that adds aromatic complexity. The palate is lively and fruit-focused, carrying pear and citrus through a fresh, clean frame. A gentle textural softness balances the acidity, while the finish remains refreshing and lightly persistent.

Winemaker's Background:

De Andrés Sisters is the wine project led by sisters Ruth and Ana de Andrés. Ruth, a trained chemist and oenologist, serves as winemaker and works with vineyards and collaborating wineries across Spain, selecting fruit and overseeing wines from vinification through bottling. Ana serves as Project Manager, helping shape the commercial and organizational side of the business. Rather than centering their work on a single estate, the sisters seek out vineyards, native varieties, and regional traditions across Spain, developing wines intended to express the character of each place. Milenrama represents their Rioja project, combining established Viura with Tempranillo Blanco in a fresh, contemporary white wine.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve chilled at 6 to 8 degrees Celsius in a medium-sized white wine glass to emphasize its pear, citrus, and fennel aromatics. Pair with grilled or roasted fish, shellfish, vegetable tapas, fresh cheeses, seafood rice dishes, or simply prepared poultry, where the wine’s freshness can complement delicate savory flavors without overwhelming them.
